In a hurry? These four rules cover most situations. Each one links to the detail.
Never redraw, retype or rearrange the logo. Download it from this page.
Logo 2Keep clear space of ¼ the monogram’s width on every side. Don’t go below 24 px.
Clear space 3Ink does the heavy lifting. On light backgrounds, lime becomes Moss.
Color 4Clear words, short sentences, and an invitation to take part.

Our purpose
We build free and open-source software, and make useful digital infrastructure accessible to the people and projects who need it.
Our point of view
Technology moves forward when people can learn, build, share, and contribute. Morrow exists to lower barriers — not create new ones.
We are a community, not a product category. The identity should feel confident without being exclusive.
Three principles shape every decision, from code to color. Each has a direct consequence for design.
We make things that solve real problems. Function comes before decoration.
In designClear systems. Every element earns its place.
We share our work, invite contributions, and make decisions transparently.
In designRoom to breathe. Generous space, nothing hidden.
We write like people, welcome newcomers, and keep complicated things approachable.
In designBold, friendly typography that’s easy to read.
02 Identity
One idea, two expressions: a custom geometric m and a lowercase wordmark with a distinctive lime period.
A custom geometric m. Use it alone once the brand is already clear.
Bespoke traced lettering — not typed Space Grotesk. Always lowercase.
The lime full stop is part of the name. Never remove, move or recolor it on its own.
Choose the version and colorway you need, then download it. Every option here is approved.
03 Identity
A recognizable mark needs room to do its job. Use the logo as a signature, not a decoration.
Starting points for screens. Below these, details close up. Always check legibility in the final context.
24px wide
Standalone monogram — favicons, avatars, small UI.
140px wide
Full logo — where the name needs to be read.
200px wide
Horizontal logo — headers, footers and signatures.
Favor a consistent corner and generous outer margins. Keep the symbol visible, not dominant.

04 Identity
One mark, every surface. These are the only approved combinations — pick the one with the strongest contrast.
Primary. Our signature look — use it whenever you can.
For light surfaces, documents and print.
High-energy moments — covers, merch, campaigns.
One-color, for dark photos and single-ink print.
One-color, for stamps, engraving and fax.
05 Identity
The artwork is custom vector geometry. If you’re tempted to change it, use a different approved version instead.
Never stretch, squash or skew. Scale proportionally.
The logo always sits level.
Stick to the five approved colorways.
Lime disappears on white (1.1:1). Use Moss instead.
Avoid patterns and low-contrast imagery.
No shadows, glows, bevels or gradients.
Use the stacked or horizontal version. Never swap, resize or re-space the parts.
Typing the name in Space Grotesk isn’t the logo.
06 Design system
Ink does the heavy lifting. Electric Lime is saved for focus, identity and small moments of energy. Click any value to copy it.

Measured WCAG 2.2 contrast ratios. Use AAA pairs for body text; “large only” pairs need 24 px+ (or 19 px bold).
07 Design system
Space Grotesk is our only typeface — for headlines, interfaces and body copy. It’s open source and free for everyone.

Tight tracking on big type, normal tracking on small type. Headlines lead; everything else supports.
Type anything below to preview it in Space Grotesk.
08 Design system
Big, direct type sets the hierarchy. A 12-column grid keeps it honest. Whitespace is part of the identity.

Build
what’s next.
Free to build. Open to everyone.
Large, direct typography establishes hierarchy before secondary information.
Keep a clear structure. One deliberate expressive move beats many.
Generous outer margins. Whitespace is part of the identity, not unused space.
Let lime mark the single most important thing — a word, a button, a period.
09 In use
We sound like a helpful contributor, not a corporate press release.
We ask questions, explain the why, and stay excited about how things work.
Clear words and short sentences. Say the useful thing first.
We share credit, welcome newcomers and always invite people to take part.
“Leverage our world-class solutions.”
“Build with us. The tools are free.”
“Eligible entities may submit an application for consideration.”
“Tell us about your project. We’ll get back to you.”
“Morrow is an industry-leading provider of next-gen infrastructure.”
“Morrow is a community building open tools for everyone.”
The logo is artwork. In text, the name follows normal sentence rules.
Capitalize it like any proper noun.
Lowercase, parent name first.
It lives in the logo — don’t type it in running text.
Service names should never compete with the parent identity. These are illustrative examples, not registered services.
